About the collection

a portrait of bombing — a portrait of a feeling. for six years i accompanied writers on their nocturnal actions, worldwide, in frames from which i am absent: a visual language i developed after meeting the photographer alex fakso in 2001, aiming to preserve the feeling that fuelled a non-aligned army of writers to go out and hit the trains — so that writers would recognize their lives in each shot.
