MAN TO MAN

an homage to man to man by manfred karge — the one-woman play tilda swinton performed in 1987 at the royal court theatre in london and at the traverse in edinburgh, directed by stephen unwin, with stage design by bunny christie and lighting by ben ormerod. in 2026 the same team reunited to develop a new version of the piece. i photographed that return: a body slipping into another life, a room, a light, forty years later.
